Over the past few weeks, we have seen our teams get some fantastic results at the ESMBA National Finals at Melton Mowbray. These competitions are filled with the best of the best short mat bowlers from around the country and there aren’t any easy games!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First up was our mixed fours teams and they did an excellent job qualifying in their group stages but unfortunately they were both knocked out in the first of the knock-out stages. The next day saw our Over 55s pairs battle hard and Tony and Mick made it all the way to the quarter finals!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps the most impressive result so far this year however was from our under 18 singles. Every one of our juniors finished in the top 2 places in their respective groups and made it through the main knock-out stages which is a fantastic achievement. Annabelle then kept on battling her way to the final where she narrowly missed out on winning the whole thing by a single point in an exceptionally well played final match!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last four events are due to take place next week in Melton Mowbray and we’re keeping everything crossed and wishing the best of luck to our singles, pairs, triples and fours teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
